The Melrose Project

Ok, can someone lend me $55,000? I happened to wander into this cool new space called The Melrose Project just across the street from the Pacific Design Center and fell immediately in love with this enormous peacock wall hanging:

It turns out that this piece is actually a rug which is part of the Gypsy/Maturin line (designed by the mother and son team, Kathleen and Tommy Clements who also are the brains behind The Melrose Project) in collaboration with the artist Kaki Foley. The scale is magnificent. It must be 20 feet tall and the tail feathers are three-dimensional strips of fabric:
