Pedro Friedeberg

As we were dismantling our La Cienega window recently, I popped over to Downtown for one last look at the incredible Pedro Friedeberg sculpture the talented and hilarious Kim Alexandriuk used in her Diego Rivera-inspired window.

Our window is ready for its close-up!

Our LCDQ window in honor of Sol LeWitt had been unveiled! The ladies of M. Design and I spent two hot, sweaty days painting the screen (and developing a new respect for Mr. LeWitt’s precision and process) and recreating some of his wall drawings as sketches and paintings. The goal was to create an intimate artist’s studio that Mr. LeWitt could retreat to read and draft and work out his ideas. I hope he would have liked it!
