I have been up to my armpits in work this past week but as I take five and try to catch up on what is happening in the world (and in my inbox) I am excited to report that I am seeing a flurry of new and recently released books on the market. Below is my top five (all of which will be added to my burgeoning Christmas list, for those of you just dying to know what to get me this year…).
First up, The World of Muriel Brandolini: Interiors showcasing the divine designs of Muriel Brandolini, one of my all time favorite designers:
Next Design Sponge at Home, a tome from the queen of the design blogs, Grace Bonney: And The Perfectly Imperfect Home from Deborah Needleman, the current editor of the WSJ Magazine (and former Editor-in-Chief of the now defunct Domino – R.I.P):And the long awaited (by me, certainly) Sister Parish: American Style, a compendium of Sister Parish’s unflappable WASPy style: And finally, for all of you peeps in the design world, I present Keith Granet’s book, The Business of Design. For those of you who don’t know Mr. Granet, he is the genius behind the expanding careers of Mary McDonald, Commune and Amanda Nisbet as well as established big names like Charlotte Moss and Anouska Hempel. I can guarantee I will be reading this from cover to cover to see how he makes the magic happen: Enjoy!
